Optimised IMR Batteries
The UM4 incorporates an optimised IMR battery charging program, which is able to monitor the entire charging process, ensuring that the cut-off voltage is always within the safe limits.
LCD Screen with Real-Time Information
An LCD screen displays real-time charging information.
Short press the "V" button to cycle through different charging information.
Internal Resistance and Battery Health Detection
When the internal resistance is below 250 mΩ, it will show "Good" on the screen.
When it is above 250 mΩ, it will show "Poor" on the screen to indicate that the battery should be replaced.
When it is above 250 mΩ, it will show "Poor" on the screen to indicate that the battery should be replaced.
Intelligent Charging Mode Selection
UM4 will automatically select between 3 charging modes (CC, CV and -dV/dt) according to the battery type and capacity.
Manual Charging Settings
The charging parameters can be set manually. Long press the "C" button to enter the charging setting mode.
Charging voltage selection: 3.7V/4.2V/4.3V
Charging current selection: 300 mA-1,500 mA.

Over-Discharged IMR Battery Restoration
When an over-discharged IMR battery is installed, the screen will show "EE EE". Long press the "V" button to enter the restoration mode, which will continue the charging process.
Over-Discharged Li-ion Battery Activation
The UM4 is capable of activating over-discharge Li-ion batteries with a protective circuit. After a battery is installed, the UM4 will test and activate the battery before it begins charging. If a battery is detected as damaged, the screen will display "EE EE".
Anti Short-Circuiting and Reverse Polarity Protection
If batteries are inserted with the polarity reversed or short-circuited, the screen will flash to show "EE EE".
Energy Saving Function
If there is no action to the buttons or batteries in three minutes, the screen will automatically dim to save energy.
